Valerie Paric

Executive Director

Valerie joined One Family, Inc. in 2006, transitioning from her prior positions as Director of Program Development and Director of the One Family Scholars Program to become the Executive Director in June 2012. Valerie received a B.A. in Political Science from Indiana University Bloomington. She is also a graduate of the Institute for Nonprofit Management and Leadership at Boston University and LeadBoston (Class of 2010).

Wendy Ballinger

Director of Development & Communications

Wendy has over twenty years of experience creating and implementing development plans for clients ranging from institutions of higher education to cultural organizations to health and social service agencies. Wendy received her B.A. and her M.A. in Urban and Environmental Policy from Tufts University. Prior to establishing Ballinger Consulting, she served for a decade as the Executive Director of Bostonís Ford Hall Forum, and later joined the organization's board. She also served on the staff of the Institute of Politics at the John F. Kennedy School of Government and as a staff member in the Massachusetts Legislature.

Matthew Miller

Director of Programs

Matthew joined One Family in June 2012. As Director of Programs he is responsible for overseeing our One Family Scholars and Credential to Career Coaching programs as well as identifying and developing new opportunities for One Family to increase our impact and engagement across the Commonwealth. Prior to joining One Family, Matthew worked with parents through a variety of organizations including the Institute for Responsive Education, the Boston Parent Organizing Network, and as the coordinator of the Family Support Program at the Tobin K-8 School in Roxbury. Matthew has a B.A. in English and Education from Northeastern University and an Ed.M. from Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Judith Marks

Programs Manager

Judith joined One Family in March 2016. As Programs Manager, Judith oversees our curriculum development for both the One Family Scholars program and Credential to Career Coaching. In addition, she works with a caseload of One Family Scholars and coaches Credential to Career participants. Prior to joining One Family, Judith was a high school teacher in a Title I school in North Philadelphia. She taught Honors African American History as well as African American History for English Language Learners. In addition to teaching, Judith founded and facilitated a Peer Mediation program at Olney Charter High School. Judith has a B.A. in International and Global Studies from Brandeis University and an Ed.M. from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education.

Karsten Cash

Program Coordinator

Karsten joined One Family in August 2016. As Program Coordinator, Karsten works with a caseload of One Family Scholars offering them academic advising and career coaching. Karsten attended Wesleyan University where he received a bachelorís degree in African American Studies with a concentration in American Government. Following his undergraduate work, he matriculated into University of Massachusetts Amherst where he obtained a Masters in Social Justice Education. Beyond college, he did college access work through non-profits; student affairs work (academic advising and event programming/support) on multiple college campuses and was an assistant principal at both charter and public schools in the greater Boston area.

Erin Lotridge

Credential to Career Coach

Erin joined One Family in September 2017. In her role as Credential to Career Coach, Erin works to provide participants with the resources and advising necessary to help them determine what careers they can pursue, where to obtain the credentials they need to enter their field, and how to finance their education or training. Prior to joining One Family, Erin worked in both college counseling and data analysis after graduating from Harvard College in 2015.

Jaimy Jean-Noel

Programs Assistant

Jaimy joined One Family in June 2017. As Programs Assistant, she provides administrative support for One Familyís various programs, as well as academic advising and career coaching for the One Family Scholars program. Prior to joining One Family, Jaimy worked at the MetroWest College Planning Center as a college access advisor, mentor, program coordinator, and community outreach specialist. She received her B.A. in Sociology from Framingham State University and is also an alumnus of MassBay Community College.

Dawn St. Angelo

Junior Accountant

Dawn joined One Family in September 2016 in her part-time role as the Junior Accountant. In this position, Dawn works with the Executive Director, Director of Programs, and the Accountant to process payments and tuition bills for scholars, review funds, and generate reports. Dawn received her B.S. in Corporate Finance and Accounting from Bentley University and is now working towards her M.S. in Accountancy while studying for the CPA exam.
