A problem must be recognized before it can be solved.
While the initial growth of homelessness in the late 1980s drew notable attention, its continued growth, especially among children, has become all but invisible to the general public.
In fact, our culture has perpetuated the dated stereotype of the typical homeless person as an unemployed, unkempt, unmotivated single adult male struggling with addiction.
The average American is unaware of the facts about family homelessness and so the ranks of homeless children continue to swell.
With the following tools, you can help spread the correct message:
Every child deserves a home.
