Denise Durham Williams

Executive Director
Denise Williams joined the One Family team in 2009 as the Executive Director. After spending 30 years in the financial services industry she retired as a Managing Director from Citigroup. She also served as Citibank's National Director of Community Relations as well as the Director of Diversity for the Global Consumer business. Prior to joining Citigroup, Denise was a senior level Vice President at JP Morgan Chase. Community leadership has long been at the forefront of Denise's career and she has been recognized with numerous awards. She is a native New Yorker hailing from Brooklyn; Denise received her B.A. in economics from Tufts University.

Valerie Paric

Director, One Family Scholars Program
Valerie Paric has over 15 years experience leading program and organizational development, evaluation, training and human resources in the private and nonprofit sectors. Since joining One Family in 2006, she has managed the One Family Scholars Program; transitioning from her initial position as Career Development Specialist to her current role as Director of the One Family Scholars Program. She oversees the entire program from development and implementation to evaluation. Valerie received a B.A. in Political Science from Indiana University Bloomington. She is a graduate of LeadBoston (Class of 2010) and volunteers as a City Links Mentor, a program of Cambridge Community Services that provides weekly mentoring to first generation college-bound students attending Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School.

Emily Cohen

Associate Director of Policy and Advocacy
Emily Cohen joined the One Family team in March of 2008 as the Systems Change Community Organizer. In July 2010 Emily became the Associate Director of Policy and Advocacy. Her work focuses on policy advocacy, convening, community organizing, research, and program evaluation. Prior to joining One Family she worked as a direct service provider at the Hamilton Family Center and as a research intern at the Massachusetts Housing and Shelter Alliance. She has a B.A. from the University of San Francisco and an M.A. in Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning from Tufts University.

Monique Martin

Director of Development
Monique Martin joined the One Family team in January of 2011 with more than 12 years of fundraising experience. She has worked at outstanding Massachusetts institutions such as Franciscan Hospital for Children, the Anti-Defamation League, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Monique is responsible for leading all fundraising efforts and works with individual donors, corporate supporters and foundation partners to secure the resources needed to provide our services. She received a B.A. in Communications from Northeastern University.

Abby Southwell

Program Assistant
Abby Southwell joined the One Family team in January 2010 as an Intern. In July 2010, she became the Program Assistant, working as part of the One Family Scholars team, as well as focusing on data and financial management. Abby received her B.A. from Smith College in Mathematics and Italian Studies.

Aishatu Yusuf

Communication and Marketing Graduate Fellow
Aishatu joined the One Family team in November of 2010 as a Community and Advocacy Graduate Fellow; she has since transitioned to working on a communications strategy for One Family. Prior to her work with One Family she worked as a Program Coordinator for the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and an Education and Workforce Development Fellow at the United States Conference of Mayors. Hailing from Salt Lake City, UT, Aishatu received a B.S. in both Political Science and Intercultural Communications, and is currently pursuing her M.A. in Public Policy and Administration from Northeastern University.
